NovaDB Update 5.2: More efficient publishing and more design freedom
New functions improve the handling of large work packages and enhance visual editing
The new NovaDB 5.2 update simplifies work package publishing processes through improved conflict detection, optimized resource management and enhanced visual editing capabilities. With new table functions and expanded API support, users benefit from more efficient workflows.
Würzburg, July 9, 2025 - Noxum GmbH, a manufacturer of information systems, has released NovaDB 5.2, an update that brings noticeable improvements to the publishing process and expands visual content editing capabilities.
Improvements in the publishing process
NovaDB Release 5.2 makes the publishing of work packages more user-friendly and clearer. Users can now more easily identify objects that lead to conflicts when publishing. Visual aids clearly show which version of an object will be published according to the selected configuration and make it much easier to deal with conflicts.
Thanks to optimizations in memory consumption, even particularly extensive work packages can now be published efficiently. Smooth publication is guaranteed even with thousands of modifications. Improved resource management, which minimizes unwanted follow-up processes, ensures faster processing times in the background.
New possibilities in visual editing
Visual editing has been functionally enhanced in NovaDB 5.2: visual components of the "table" type can now be used. Until now, tables were created exclusively in the supplier system, which limited the scope for design and required work steps in different systems. With tables in the visual editing of NovaDB 5.2, structured content can now be edited and displayed directly in the frontend. In addition, handling has been simplified with new control commands.
Further improvements
In the area of automated processes, the function for automatically calculating values has been extended. This function allows users to enrich data in a targeted manner - both with information from NovaDB and from external sources. This means that additional values can be calculated before publication and tabular values can also be added dynamically.
Typical application examples are the calculation of product set weights or discounted prices based on internal rules. External data can also be integrated, for example to automatically adjust prices to the market environment or to display content depending on the weather. AI functions can also be accessed for the calculations.
The APIs have also been further developed as part of the update. This ensures that they are continuously adapted to user requirements - for reliable performance, clarity and flexibility in development.
Update now
Upgrade to NovaDB 5.2 now and take advantage of the enhanced features for more efficient publishing, improved visual editing and optimized API integration. Our team will be happy to assist you with planning and implementation.
