NovaDB 6.2 with Clear License Management and Improved Operational Security
Project teams and IT managers can see at a glance which modules and licenses are active, while the platform continuously becomes more secure in the background.
Würzburg, May 28, 2026. Noxum GmbH, specialist in content management and editorial systems, releases NovaDB 6.2, an update that noticeably simplifies daily work for administrators and IT managers. The focus is on greater transparency around active licenses and modules, as well as further improved operational security.
Clear overview of active modules and services
NovaDB 6.2 introduces a dedicated overview page in the web interface that consolidates all available and activated modules at a glance. Whether services such as the InDesign Service or the Excel Add-In, API access, specialized editors, or application packages for PIM, MAM, and TechDoc: the current license status is visible to everyone at any time. Project managers and editorial leads can immediately see which functions are available in their environment without having to consult IT first. If a team wants to use an additional functional area, it is immediately clear what is already available and what can be added.
The transparency extends beyond pure license status. Anyone wanting to know whether a service is running as expected or whether a job is still being processed will find the answer directly in the interface. How heavily a service is utilized and which resources it consumes is visible in real time. All running and completed jobs can be viewed in one central location across all work packages. Teams always know what is happening in the background and can react quickly if needed.
Usability improvements
NovaDB 6.2 also contains improvements that make daily work easier for everyone who works with content and objects on a regular basis. When selecting object references within the search, a tree structure is now available that allows objects and object types to be selected specifically, making the search process more intuitive overall.
With NovaDB 6.2, no code will be required to set up conditions and dependencies. Quality gates, data exports with custom filter rules, and automated processes in the shop can be configured directly in the interface by users without developer support.
In addition, the capture of RTL scripts such as Arabic has been improved in the editing interface to better support international organizations.
Improved security in ongoing operations
NovaDB 6.2 includes improvements to the platform's security architecture that further reduce the attack surface of the system. Noxum relies on a continuous review process for the ongoing development of platform security, which also includes the use of AI-supported analyses for detecting vulnerabilities. Potential risks are thus identified and resolved at an early stage, before they can affect operations.
